The Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) was established by the Ministry of Education (MoE) to foster a culture of innovation and promote a startup ecosystem within educational institutions. Collaborating with the AICTE, the MoE aims to enhance innovation in Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs).
The IIC’s primary goal is to engage teachers, students, and staff in various activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship. These activities include problem-solving, creativity, design thinking, proof of concept development, intellectual property rights (IPR), and project management during pre-incubation and incubation stages. The initiative seeks to build and sustain a robust innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in HEIs.
