Introduction

National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Service Organization, comprising of the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. Training in NCC instills qualities like nationalism, patriotism, disciplined, team spirit, sprit-de-corps, leadership and self- confidence and promotes overall personality development. NCC gives a tremendous opportunity to one and all for betterment, irrespective of caste, creed, religion or economic status. Based on the aims of NCC, the organization has laid down training syllabus for the cadets. The syllabus for the senior division cadets cover a period of three years. The NCC wing of the Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology started on with the strength of 54 Cadets are attached to the 64 UP BATTALION NCC of the Army and Division started with effect from 01 April 2024 for the next session.Total strength of enrolled cadets is 80 Coy (Senior division /Senior wing). All NCC activities, in the college campus are conducted under the supervision of Dr.Shweta Mishra Hon’ble Additional Director , Dr.Ashutosh Dwivedi Hon’ble Director Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology. Anjali Rai is the ANO of the NCC unit under 64 UP Battalion NCC.

Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology, Mohanlalganj is striving for academic excellence, and at the same time sponsoring varieties of activities that would contribute to the wholesome development of personality and promote health among students. NCC is the one such subject promoted by the College with an intention of ensuring Physical, Mental and Emotional well being of the Student Community. For the smooth conduct of the intramural and extramural programme of the university, the NCC was established by the college in the year 2022. The NCC also aims at the cadets obtaining B and C Certificates after passing the exams so that it brightens their future prospects and career.

AIMS

  • To develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen.
  • To create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation, during war and peace.

OBJECTIVES OF NCC

  • NCC works to fulfill the requirements expected in the latest socio-economic scenario in India.
  • The organization aims at development of character, discipline, comradeship, secular outlook, ideals of selfless services and adventure spirits amongst large numbers of young citizens in India.
  • NCC aims to create a pool of trained, organized and motivated youth with various leadership qualities in every walk of their life and serve the Nation irrespective of career they choose.
  • National Cadet Corps also provides a sound environment conducive towards motivating large numbers of young people of India to join armed forces and paramilitary forces.
  • NCC also aims to give momentum to students with adventure spirit for pursuing adventure sports and also participate in national level tournaments and the Republic Day Parade.
  • Shooting and marksmanship is the hallmark of a trained soldier and imparts military confidence in cadets who learn firing of small arms (Rifle.22).
  • Horse Riding is another sports which is coveted and valued in armed forces, thus , Ambalika Horse Riding Club provides this facility to our NCC Cadets.
