About UBA

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is a flagship program of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (GOI). The program’s vision is to leverage knowledge through institutions so as to bring about transformative change in rural development and build an inclusive India.

The mission of UBA is to enable higher educational institutions to work with people in rural India to identify development challenges and find appropriate solutions for sustainable growth. The program aims to create a connection between society and the academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and upgrading the capabilities of both public and private sectors to respond to the development needs of rural India.

UBA at AIMT

Ambalika Institute of Management and Technology (AIMT), located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, is a participating institute in the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) program. As part of its commitment to rural development, AIMT has adopted a cluster of villages to work with. Ambalika Institute has adopted the following villages:

TIKARA, UTTAR GAON, AHMEDPUR KHERA, SISANDI, and GOBIND PUR.

As a participant in UBA, the institute aims to leverage its academic expertise and resources to help these villages address their development challenges. This typically involves activities like:

  • Conducting baseline surveys to identify specific issues and needs in the villages.
  • Engaging faculty and students in projects related to sustainable agriculture, water management, sanitation, and other key areas.
  • Promoting community participation and working with local authorities to find and implement solutions for sustainable growth.
  • Organizing awareness campaigns and workshops on topics such as health, hygiene, and skill development.
