New Education Policy (NEP) Committee

Objectives:

• To implement the NEP 2020 framework in the institution
• To align the course curriculum with the NEP vision of holistic development, and multidisciplinary approach
• To promote innovative teaching methods like experimental learning, critical thinking, and problem solving-skills
• To encourage research activities and fostering a culture of innovation among students and faculty

Responsibilities of NEP Committee:

• Thoroughly understanding the NEP 2020’s vision, objectives, and recommendations
• Assessing the institutions current practices against NEP goal to identify areas for improvement
• Revising existing curricula to align with NEP’s emphasis on holistic development, flexibility, and multidisciplinary approach
• Promoting innovative teaching methods, experiential learning, and technology integration in classrooms
• Implementing assessment methods that focus on understanding, application, and higher-order thinking skills
• Organizing workshops and training programs for faculty to familiarize them with NEP and equip them with new pedagogical skills.
• Establishing mentorship programs to support faculty in implementing NEP recommendations
• Providing guidance and counseling to students on new academic options, skill development, and career pathways
• Creating opportunities for students’ holistic development through extracurricular activities, clubs, and community engagement
• Regularly monitoring the progress of NEP implementation and making necessary adjustments.
• Evaluating the impact of NEP on students’ learning outcomes and overall institutional development
