Numerical control (NC) is the automation of machine tools that are operated by precisely programmed commands encoded on a storage medium, as opposed to controlled manually via hand wheels or levers, or mechanically automated via cams alone. Most NC today is computer numerical control (CNC), in which computers play an integral part of the Control In modern CNC systems, end-to-end component design is highly automated using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) programs. The programs produce a computer file that is interpreted to extract the commands needed to operate a particular machine via a post processor, and then loaded into the CNC machines for production

Ambalika Center of Excellence is equipped with top range of CNC Training milling and CNC lathe machines from ACE Micromatics.CNC Milling machine “e-spark” is Vertical Milling Center 3 axis machine with 6 station tool magazine controlled by Siemens 808D CNC controller.CNC Lathe machine “Ace Tutor” is equipped with 8 station Bi-directional turret (BTP-50) controlled by Siemens 828D CNC controller.
Objectives Of The Course
CNC program training includes basic CNC operator skills and CNC setup processes. Students gain real world experience using actual CNC machining centers to perform real production runs and jobs setups. Classes are conducted in an actual CNC machine shop environment at the campus, equipped with ACE MICROMATICS machines including Vertical milling centers and CNC lathes.
